Laser Cutting

With one the largest laser cutting facilities in Southern Africa, housing 6 laser machines capable of cutting sheets up to 6500mm x 3000mm,...

...and a variety of materials, such as carbon steel (up to 25mm thickness), stainless steel (up to 20mm thickness), as well as hardwearing plates such as armox, hardox, weldox and boiler plates. The size and efficiency of our laser cutting operations ensures rapid turnaround times and quality of the highest degree.

Water-Jet Cutting

Our water jet is able to cut all synthetic materials, as well as carbon steels (up to 160mm), stainless steel (up to 120mm) and aluminium (up to 140mm)...

...With a bed size of 4000mm x 2000mm, two cutting heads enabling simultaneous cutting of two separate parts, and a rotary axis enabling the cutting of thick walled aluminium tubing, if you need it cut, our water jet is capable.

Fabrication

Our fabrication facilities include co2, tig, mig, stick, and argon welding, as well as a Motoman Robotic Welding cell, one of the most technologically...

...advanced machines of its kind anywhere in the world, a fully automated robotic welder with 2 manipulators, handling items up to 500kgs each, on an 8m track with two 4000mm jigging tables. Complementing our welding capabilities is the further ability to do stud and spot welding as well as minarbs and standoff application. At Laser Cut Varios, it is possible.

Bending

Our 5 bending machines consist of 2 Hammerle full cnc press brakes, with 3 point bending systems, air bending capabilities, front and rear bending...

...and robotic interfaces (3100mm with a 400mm stroke). These machines are run by some of the most sophisticated software on the market today, enabling lasers and bending machines to communicate on the same platform, ensuring undisputed quality and unparalleled accuracy.

Complementing the Hammerles are 3 bending machines ranging from 30 to 400 tons, capable of achieving tolerances that even the Hammerles may find challenging.

Machining

A comprehensive machine shop with capabilities in both conventional and cnc turning and milling allows Laser Cut Varios near limitless machining capabilities...

...A highly sophisticated cnc lathe with versatile swing and travel range (300mm and 600mm respectively), and our state of the art Okuma cnc milling machine, with capacity for an 18 piece tool rack and bed size of 650mm x 400mm x 300mm, are both programmed from a remote office using cutting edge software. Add to this a host of machines with capabilities for drilling, tapping, counter sinking and surface grinding, and the result is a highly proficient facility delivering the highest quality.
